The International Centre of Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), through its Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza (IAMZ), will award a limited number of grants that may partially or totally cover registration fees, accommodation and travel expenses for the participation at the Symposium.
Candidates must have an abstract accepted by the Scientific Committee and come from CIHEAM countries (Albania, Algeria, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey). Preference will be given to the young scientists from the Southern and Eastern member countries of CIHEAM.

6th International Chestnut Symposium
The meeting will begin on Monday morning, October 3 and finish on Friday, October 7 with a noon luncheon. Oral and poster presentations are planned as are field trips to chestnut forests and historical venues. Activities are planned for spouses including a day trip to Antalya.
The topics will focus on the fields of chestnut breeding, biotechnology and genetic resources; physiology and ecology; growing technologies; fruit quality, post-harvest and processing; pest and disease management; production economics and management.
